Organisation Details

Kids & Care is a project in Surakarta that focuses on kids encouragement and health in Spirit of Java city.Through directly interacting with people with non-contagious illnesses and sharing their stories, this project aims to improve their emotional wellbeing and reduce the stigma towards illnesses in society. You will also work with local communities to encourage them to take up an active and healthy lifestyle.

Roles and Responsibilities

You will participate in and facilitate positive spaces, such as games, for people with non-communicable diseases (NCDs), such as HIV/AIDs, cancer, and cerebral palsy. You will also be involved in fundraising to cover basic needs for children with NCDs and running activities to local communities on awareness of these illnesses to reduce societal stigma. You will also be responsible for delivering activities to local communities about the prevention of general illnesses through living healthy lifestyles.

You will do roadshows to local communities to encourage the unfortunate kids (Kids with HIV and Cancer) to have brighter future. EP will also establish road campaign, fun walk, and physical exercise by cooperating with local communities such as Rumah Kita and Lentera. You will visit and do charity to support children with cancer diseases such as  Fun Walk to do charity campaign for the children in need in Car Free Day

By 2030, reduce by one-third premature mortality from non-communicable diseases through prevention and treatment and promote mental health and well-being

Logistics Details

A host family may be provided; if not, AIESEC in Indonesia will support you in finding accommodation.Airport pick-up and drop-off are provided.
